Hillocks Barn, Red Lion Hill, Brassington

This character barn conversion has been completely renovated to provide extremely comfortable accommodation.

Located within the Brassington Conservation Area, in an ancient lead-mining area, Hillocks Barn is situated up Red Lion Hill in a quiet, secluded part of this historic village.

The village has two excellent pubs both serving a selection of beers and wines and fine food. Ye Olde Gate Inn, taking its name from the turnpike gate opposite, dates from 1616.

Within a mile of the Peak District National Park and close to many famous tourist attractions, the area offers excellent walking and cycling opportunities and a wide range of water sports at Carsington Water, a mile to the South East. St James’ Church, dating back to Norman times, stands out in the heart of the village.
